Carol Sing 2005
Tonight we hosted our third annual Christmas carol singalong. I think it is pretty fair to say that everybody had a good time, at least after getting through the 5 verses of "Good King Wenceslas" near the beginning of the actual singing. Unfortunately, Kevin and I were unable to properly prepare "Pablo the Reindeer" for this year, but somehow everyone managed without, probably because of the great soups and cookies readily available in the kitchen. I can't get enough of that broccoli soup.
Thanks for coming, everyone.

Leave it to Beaver or something like that. :) Hope you don't take this the wrong way;I'm not trying to belittle you or your family! It actually reminds me of stuff I used to do with my parents as a kid, and I kind of miss that.
Posted by: Keith at December 14, 2005 02:32 PMHow dare you sir! Nah, just kidding. It is simple, and it is an older style of doing things, and that's part of why I rejuvinated it. Anyone can get together alcohol and invite people over, but doing something like this takes a bit more creativity and a personal touch, and allows a wide variety of participants as well. We had 5 or so folks over 55, and then maybe 8 of us under 30, and it worked out great.
