Plugging Along

The last day and a half have been fairly uneventful. I'm still mainly just sitting in a recliner all day, occasionally talking to folks on the phone and eating. I hurt, but not excessively. My mind is still not entirely on track, so I have no particularly useful insights or witticisms to add today, but hopefully that will return over the course of the week.

I thank you all again for your support. Your calls and comments are really helping me feel great right now. I'd particularly like to thank my friend Mei-Ling for quietly taking off work and driving hours in order to visit on surgery day, and for outfitting me with everything I could possibly need in recovery short of scuba gear. You really know how to make a guy feel loved.

No biggie.

But did you need flippers?

Yeah, and a spear-gun!

Did you see? Ono is out in the semifinal heat due to a dubious tactical choice near the end of the race. Happens I guess.

Hey, hey, old boy, got that there pm reply, thought you were serious for a couple seconds, then saw you did not supply the info ----- well, well, WWWEEEELLLLLL, and then I found this page. AHHHHH, tempting, very tempting, hehehe harhar haha hardyharhar.

Our dreams are sometimes "like trying to catch smoke with our bare hands." Keep posting, updating, everyone wants to know and our prays are for you.

The girl Mei-Ling is a good friend to help you and I send my thanks to her. She is brave and kind to take time off from work and make a drive of a couple hours in winter to visit you in a hospital. I hope the weather was good. Finally, I hope many will visit. Rather long drive for me as I am in Anchorage, Alaska, so this will have to do for now.
